MIL-D-81622A, MILITARY SPECIFICATION: DETECTING RANGING SET, SONAR AN/AQS-13A (17 JAN 1974)., The equipment covered by this specification shall provide a dipped underwater echo ranging system capable of rapid search of the area around the point of immersion of the transducer, determine the range and bearing of any objects located, and provide information to assist in classification of the object.
