【摘要】:Thisdocumentspecifiestherulesofdesign,typetestingandinspectionduringmanufacturing,ratingsandclassificationofmobilefireextinguishersandtestmethodtobeused.Itappliestomobilefireextinguisherswithatotalmassabove20kg.ThisdocumentislimitedtowaterbasedandpowdermobileextinguisherswithamaximumallowedpressurePSof30bar.Thisdocumentappliestomobilefireextinguisherswithanominalcontentof50kg(powder)and45Ior50I(water,waterbasedandfoam)thataremanoeuvredbyanoperatoronfootonly.ItdoesnotcoverfiretestsforclassCfires,butpowderextinguishersareeffectiveonthistypeoffire.ClassDfiresareconsideredtobeaveryspecialistapplicationandarenotincludedinthisdocument,butmaybemadetheobjectofnationalspecification.NOTEThisdocumentdoesnotspecifyanymetallicmaterialswhichcomplywiththeessentialrequirementsoftheDirective97/23EEC(PED).MaterialsthatsuccessfullypasstheessentialrequirementsofthePEDmaybeused.

ASTM E 8, Methods of Tension Testing of Metallic Materials, give more detailed information on tensile testing procedure, and ASTM E 4, Methods of Load Verification of Testing Machines, provides information on testing equipment calibration.
